- Community Support Activities designed to promote recovery of the individual. Examples include assisting with the coordination of services of various entities, linking with community resources, and supporting the development of independent life skills.
- Consultation Services A review of a active consumer’s current medical and psychiatric situation either through consultation with the psychiatrist, supervisor, another staff person, or in a team discussion.
- Crisis Intervention Services that include the opportunity for consumers to seek support from staff 24 hours a day to assist in managing a crisis situation. Included is the availability of a QMHP to provide a face-to face-evaluation to assess for the need for psychiatric hospitalization.
- Enhanced PSR Services designed to further enhance the recovery of consumers through the Illness, Management, and Recovery curriculum offered in a group setting, the provision of Enhanced PSR mental health specific topic groups, and Individual professional Psychiatric Rehabilitation services.
- Healthcare Home As part of the CPRP program, HCH is a holistic approach to providing integrated healthcare coordination for individuals with co-occurring chronic health conditions. HCH services include, but are not limited to; Comprehensive care management, care coordination, health promotion and individual and family support services.
- Initial/Annual Evals An evaluation service provided by a QMHP that determines the most appropriate course of action in identifying the needs, how to access, and how to provide psychosocial rehabilitation services in the community setting in order to promote the recovery of each individual.
- ITCD The provision of substance use services in a CPS program for the dually diagnosed consumer with both a mental illness and a substance use disorder. The integration of services provided by certified substance use professionals includes education groups, process groups, and individual counseling to assist the consumer in addressing both his mental health and substance recovery.
- Medication Admin. These are services that include the administration of injectable psychoactive medications by a physician, RN or LPN under the direction of a physician or registered professional nurse. This also includes monitoring medication levels and other lab work, coordinating needs with pharmacies and other medical providers, and medication education.
- Medication Services The establishment of a doctor-patient relationship between the CHS psychiatrist and consumer include the assessment of the need for psychoactive medication, and the ongoing management of medication prescribed.
- Peer Support Services Services are designed to give the consumers a peer to relate to who is in recovery, who can provide them with hope and encouragement by sharing their personal experiences. The Peer Support Specialist is able to give the consumers insight into ways of increasing independence, improving daily functioning, hope for the future, and assistance with integration back into society. The Peer Specialist role is to be someone the consumers can see themselves in, knowing the specialist has been where they are, but yet was able to regain their rights and independence in the community.
- Psychosocial Rehab. Rehabilitation services provided in a group setting designed to support and improve the ability of consumers to function as independently as possible in the community. Additionally, PSR assists with developing and increasing socialization skills.
Crisis Service24-hour Crisis Intervetion services are available to consumers of Comprehensive Health Systems, Inc. ONLY. Qualified staff are available after office hours and on weekends to assist with psychiatric emergencies.
